1. Why do you like using Photoshop?

I like using photoshop because it has such a wide variety of things you can do to alter pictures. You can do almost anything to a photo in photoshop, its like I never stop learning new things.

2. When you look at magazines, do you think differently about yourself?

No. I am perfectly fine with the way I am.

3. What does “perfect” mean to you?

The ideal body, weight, face, hair, eyes, etc.

4. What are the pros and cons of using Photoshop?

The pros are that you can fix small defects in a photo. The cons come into play when you take the ability to do so to the extreme to alter a photo to look like something totally different to display a false image that is referred to as the “ideal image”

5. What do you think the societal expectations are for body type and looks based on what we see in magazines?

You body should have no fat what so ever, big breasts for women and a muscular shape for men.

6. How do you feel about these expectations?

I feel that you are made the way you are because thats the way God chose to make you, anything done to change this is unacceptable. There should be no expectations for body types or self images because everyone is their own person, if it was not that way the world would be very bland and would lack originality.

7. Do you think that all of these famous people are as perfect as they seem?

No not at all.

8. How does Photoshop alter their features?

Photoshop allows you to add on to a photo, take away from a photo, change color pigmentations, etc.

9. Do you think these alterations are good or bad?

Depends on what you use them for, some are good some are bad.

What is global warming? the average temperature of the earth, the temperature rises each year.
Why do you think that Al Gore doesn’t want to talk about politics? Because he lost.
What is “An Inconvenient Truth”? That global warming can be stopped and we are the cause of it.
How did Al Gore tailor his presentation to the Evangelical Christians? What did he add for this audience? He adds scriptures from the bible.
When are global warming commercials coming out?
Do you think they will help people realize this issue? Yes I do.
How do you feel about the way the Gore’s family is paying for this? I think its cray how much money they got and how much they’re paying for it.
Why do you think Al Gore’s loss of presidency was beneficial to his new hobby? Because it gives him more time to focus on his hobby.
How do you think that other candidates pick themselves up after a losing campaign? They do the opposite of what they did before.
Why do you think he won an Oscar and the Noble Peace Prize for his movie? Because he made a comeback and put hope into people who no longer had none. He knew what he was talking about.
How do you feel about the training center that he will be building as an eco-friendly farm? I think its a good idea.
Do you think the Gores were doing the right thing when they bought that house? No.
What did they do to the house after it became an issue? they changed it so that it did not use as much energy because before that it was adding to global warming.
What do you feel is Al Gore’s message?

Plagiarism

“Plagiarism is the practice of claiming or implying original authorship of (or incorporating material from) someone else’s written or creative work, in whole or in part, into one’s own without adequate acknowledgment. Unlike cases of forgery, in which the authenticity of the writing, document, or some other kind of object itself is in question, plagiarism is concerned with the issue of false attribution.” this would be considered plagiarism if i did not tell you that i got this definition from wikipedia.

I feel that plagiarism is a very lazy act. It doesn’t benefit you in any way, and is unfair to the original author and to the teacher. This is something that should not be taken lightly. It is bad because it is copying. Its someone else’s ideas. It is hurting you in the long run because you are not learning anything.

Naked Man Runs A Muck!

There was a guy that ran around a grocery store naked the other day. I think he should be fined because there are people of all different ages in the grocery store that didn’t need to experience that. Also its a hygiene issue also. The cameras were watching him the whole time and he shooed off customers.

Killer smiles, families weep as jury recommends death

This man killed three people and was put on death row. He shows no sign of feeling bad he actually smiles after hearing the verdict. The families weep and say he deserves it but after being studied its been proven that he is extremely intelligent and extremely violent but his mind is also corrupt.

Prescription drugs found in U.S. drinking water

“A small amount of pharmaceuticals including antibiotics, anti-convulsions, mood stabilizers and sex hormones have been found in the drinking water supplies of at least 41 million Americans, an investigation shows.”

I think that this is a scary thing. Although presently this is causing no harm it could in the future. Too much of any drugs could be harmful. This worries me. I think it could have a major effect on our long-term health.

This was the first football game I ever watched from beginning to end, and I think its going to be the best one for a long time. As of now Eli Manning is my favorite player, since hes the only quarterback I know of besides Tom Brady. But the thing is the score most of the game was 7 to 3, then the patriots scored but the Giants did not give up. With two minutes left of the game the Giants were able to make a touchdown to take the lead, and even with all the problems during the game the Giants proved that impossible is nothing and that the main thing in sports is to never give up.

What was your reaction and or feelings after the guest speaker on friday?

I feel like the guest speaker on Friday was great. He kept me awake for one, and he brought the good out of 911 instead of the bad. He taught us many lessons and described that day as to where I felt like I was apart of it. The last thing he said to us “I fixed the man and the world fixed itself” had to have been the best quote I ever heard in my life. He got his point across to me and most likely to everyone else, and I walked out way more aware and knowledgeable about the whole 911 situation. I think that it is a great deed to go around the world and share stories and speak to large groups of people for no pay at all, and if I had the chance to personally I would thank him for it.

My Vacation & New Year Resolution

My vacation was really fun. I did a lot of exciting things over the break. I went to the city, I went to a party, I went to the mall like almost everyday of the vacation, chilled with my friends, went to the movies, & I also had a Christmas tournament. Not one day of my vacation was boring. Of course it sped by & felt like 2 days instead of a week, but its all good.

My New Years Resolution is to better my basketball skills, to treat my mom better, and to keep my grades up.
